And today, we discuss Polyamory. A word that is underlined with a squiggly red line because my browser’s dictionary doesn’t recognize it. Most don’t understand it. As for me, I was curious to develop a conversation on this subject matter and who better to speak with than a person living the lifestyle. So speaking with my friend Lolo, she suggested I’d invite her friend Monica for a podcast concerning polyamorous relationships.
Before embarking on this episode, I want to let you know that Monica will be featured on another episode of Apartment 6 really soon – early 2014. Truthfully, time constraints restricted the conversation from delving deeper in the subject and I still have a bunch of questions for Monica, as well as getting to know her artistic and creative side.
People are layered and multifaceted. We have different needs, different thoughts and desires that are manifested in different ways. Opening one’s mind to new ideas and theories – without forcibly applying them to our lives – allows room for growth and deeper understanding of one’s intentions.
That’ll be a blog post for another day.
