This is the reason why I do what I do. Through the last 7 months, I have been blessed to meet so many incredible people; beautiful, strong, powerful and passionate people. These young men and women who have consciously and subconsciously helped me take the steps I needed to take in order to better myself, my life and subsequently, the lives of my loved ones.
Anaëlle approached me a month ago and asked me to host her upcoming event, the Rose Retro Benefit Event, taking place July 27th 2012 @ Club Peopl. in Montreal. I immediately accepted, knowing how great of an opportunity it was and especially, because it’s Anaelle. Knowing how passionate and positive of a person she is, I had every reason to believe that she was getting me involved in something great – and I was right.
Aiming to raise money for Women’s cancer research, I invited Anaelle and her colleague Iris to come over to Apartment 6 and chat it up. What came out of this episode was one of the most personal and honest podcasts I ever thought I’d do. This, these moments of truth, of awareness and of hope, are why I do what I do.
If you’re in Montreal on the 27th of July, make sure you come through to witness some of Montreal’s most talented artists, designers and all-around good people this city has to offer. Come by and say hi, and I might just hug you.
